We are very grateful to our patient students who lived through the "soft renovation phase" and we now are ready to welcome you to what we hope will be your preferred sanctuary for yoga!

Additional classes will begin next week.  Please bring your friends and neighbors.

Bless this mess!  Thanks for your patience while we do our "soft renovation" and deep Spring Cleaning.  We are installing new floors in Studio B. (hopefully by the end of this week)  and new carpet in the lobby, and we continue to paint and clean.  Once all of this work is complete we will add more classes, aiming for mid-May.   We heard loud and clear from our surveys to keep the schedule the same, so we are, and we will be adding additional times when we have our studio in order as the elves can only come between class times.    Thanks for your support!  Marka & Pam

Hard to believe it's approaching the end of April.  Thank you to all our yogi's and yogini's who have completed our survey regarding class times, heat and content!  We are taking all suggestions into consideration and will publish our new schedule early next week.  Thanks for all the support, the new stewardship is grateful and it's much appreciated:)  Marka & Pam

New Stewards at HYL

Just as we evolve through our yoga practice – Hot Yoga of Laurelhurst is evolving too.   Lisa Every decided it was time to spend more time at home with her kids.  Serendipitously, Pam and I separately were trying to decide what’s next in life with our children mostly grown up!  We are pleased to announce we are the new stewards of HYL.

Our definition of stewardship as we refer to HYL is we are responsible for overseeing and protecting something considered worth caring for and preserving.  Hot Yoga of Laurelhurst, tucked in the heart of our community, is a little known gem, worth investing energy and time to foster community and wellness amongst our members.  HYL is a place where you can learn the joy of yoga and experience the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of a regular yoga practice.

Pam is a seasoned yoga instructor whose kindness and commitment to helping her students is what keeps people coming to her classes.  Pam has been teaching for five years and her energy is contagious.  I’m not an instructor, I still have so much to learn ( so don’t follow me in classJ) I think of myself as a beginner at yoga, but I’ve been practicing at HYL for 3 years.  When I began yoga, I had no idea that it was so different than any other physical exercise program.  I’ve tried them all and it’s the only one I’ve stuck with.  While many of my friends noticed physical appearance changes when I’m actively doing yoga, I treasure the changes yoga makes on reducing stress and having a more tranquil outlook on the world.

If you haven’t been here for awhile, please come join us for a class again.  We welcome beginners and advanced practitioners.  We know it can be difficult to take the first step on a new regimen, but our talented instructors, and supportive team are here to help inspire you along your yoga journey!

Namaste,

Marka & Pam

PS – We are also very pleased that Lisa will continue to instruct at HYL!
